” I consider myself to be a lucky lady as when I moved to Mumbai a few years ago, from not knowing a single soul in the city to getting accepted as a family member by one of the greatest families I have ever known, sure qualifies me to be one. Mumbai was meant to be just a short term stay in my chosen nomadic life and here I am, completing 9 years this December! People who dislike me can blame Dilip Parekh for this great injustice done to them!
Dilip helped me with a rental accommodation during my 1st year in Mumbai and then guided me to buy my first house in the city, single handedly! I remember, telling him ‘Dilip, neither do I have the deposit money, nor any intention of settling down here’ and Dilip saying to me, ‘ Who is asking you to settle down? All I am saying is, why throw money in rent, when I can plan out your own house and mortgage?’ Considering his expertise, excellent credentials and simple manners, I conceded and he guided me through the entire home buying process, facilitated meetings with the bankers and planned all related finances.
Every time an interesting investment opportunity comes, Dilip and Hemang customize it as per my situation, my payment capacity and the return on investment. I am not a big money saver, so I always find myself wondering, ‘how the hell am I going to pay for this? But every time my fears have been allayed by them and through some beautiful financial wizardry that they suggest, I am able to go ahead with the investment successfully!
Both Dilip and I continue with our original stories though, with me saying to him every time, ‘Dilip, neither do I have the deposit money, nor any intention of settling down here’, and Dilip telling me– ‘’ Who is asking you to settle down? All I am saying is……….’, well you know the rest !”
